The partners of the European project ROUTES will inaugurate a visual exhibition on migrant integration next 4th of December at Halles Saint Géry in Brussels. The exhibition will be sponsored by Brussels Capital Region. Uniqueness and diversity make the strength of our society. Expressions like 'third-country nationals', 'integration' or 'intercultural dialogue' mean actual interaction between individuals in cities, schools, offices and public places. 'Ways to integration' showcases diverse and positive examples that embody such interactions as recorded by professional photographers, practitioners, migrants and keen observers. Representations of integration processes become alive through the words, situations and symbols displayed in this venue. 'Routes: the way to integration' is a project part-financed by the European Commission through the INTI initiative, funded by the DG Justice, Freedom and Security and endorsed by the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. After two years of work, the project partners wish to share the main results of a joint effort that aims at improving the local governance of integration policies of citizens across Europe, regardless of their origin, in line with the fundamental human rights and the founding principles of the European Union.'Routes' has created a framework for a better integration of immigrants and a set of recommendations for the implementation of the most valuable findings in different contexts.
