COOPI is committed to developing effective, sustainable, and flexible projects in various countries and contexts. It carries out development programs to contribute to the war against poverty and establish economic and social reforms above all in countries in the southern hemisphere where war and natural calamities seriously threaten their population’s daily existence.

Working in close contact with communities has permitted us to develop significant qualified and competent expertise in the sphere of safeguarding and assisting children, safe drinking water, health issues, training, human rights, the environment, and themes related to migration. 

 Our work is committed to enhancing the value of community resources through professional growth and encouraging responsibility on the part of the local staff who work with us, thus favoring the creation and consolidation of socially committed local associations and organizations, and systematic collaboration and partnership with local authorities and institutions.   

We guarantee immediate assistance to refugees and evacuees in situations requiring humanitarian help, improving at any rate, local and national resources and creating necessary conditions, so that once the acute emergency phase is over, we can begin the reconstruction phase to promote economic and social progress.  

Our commitment, through regional groups and associations in various Italian cities, many of whom are volunteers, is to spread awareness and comprehension of situations of existing disequilibrium and poverty in the world to find among the public, universities, companies and foundations, allies and supporters to fight against poverty and injustice. We urgently call on governments and institutions to intervene with determination and resources in a precise and punctual manner on all such situations. 

To ensure greater strength to our commitment both in Italy and abroad, where we carry out our projects, we are further committed to favor collaboration with other internationally involved NGOs, Associations, and Institutions, in Italy or Internationally on a local or national level.
